All you need to know about Airbrush Makeup
Have you ever had airbrushed makeup applied? Did you enjoy the final product? Most don't know what it even is!
I get asked regularly to explain airbrushed makeup to all my pretty brides! Read along as we explain to you what the hype is all about, uncover the myths and help you decide if its the right path for you!
What is it?
Airbrush Makeup is described as " ...makeup sprayed onto the skin using an airbrush instead of being applied with sponges, brushes, fingers, or other methods. An airbrush is characterized by 3 major parts. A powered compressor is used to create an even and controllable airflow through a medical grade hose." We can thank Wikipedia for that definition!
Basically, it is face makeup that is sprayed onto the face through the power of an air compressor. I won't bore you with the different types of airbrushed makeup because that is just not what you're here for! I personally use Temptu Air Perfect and really love this brand! They have a wide range of shades and the machine is fairly easy to clean.
The Benefits
1. It feels lightweight!
If you really can't stand the feeling of makeup on your face, you might love this! Because of the way that it is applied, it feels fairly lightweight. It is so difficult to give a cakey coverage with airbrush makeup!
here's a tip:
If you don't want to wear makeup on your wedding day, just don't! It's your day girl, you do you!
2. It looks good for people
with good skin!
If you drink the right amount of water you're supposed to and eat all of your greens then you probably have great skin. Unless you were just blessed, if so then you're a lucky gal!! Airbrush makeup looks amazing on people like you! It sits beautifully well on balanced skin. With a few extra steps, you'll have a beautiful finish!
3. It is Often quicker!
The blend-ability with airbrush makeup is phenomenal. There is not much extra work from the artists stand point to blend this beautifully into the skin. You shouldn't have any worry of having a face that is 2 shades lighter than your body in photos! (We've all been there!!)
